The House of the Virgin Mary


The House of the Virgin Mary ‘’Meryem Ana Evi’’ is located about 7km from Selçuk on Mountain Koressos in the vicinity of Ephesus. In the 19th century the house was discovered by following the descriptions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774-1824), a Roman Catholic nun and visionary. She described the house so vividly that after her death her reported visions were published as a book by Clemens Brentano. Dalyan & İztuzu Beach
